Our cap screws are precision-engineered for structural integrity, torque consistency, and dimensional stability across a full range of critical assemblies. We offer socket head, hex head, and button head cap screws to meet or exceed ASME B18.3, B18.2.1, DIN 912, ISO 4762, and related standards.

Each cap screw is machined or cold-forged using certified materials—typically alloy steel (Grade 8, 12.9), stainless steels (302, 304, 316), and specialty alloys including A286, Inconel, and Monel for high-temperature or corrosive environments. Head-to-shank concentricity and thread lead are tightly controlled to ensure repeatable preload and clamp force across production batches.

We supply full and partial-thread variants in both coarse and fine thread pitches (UNC, UNF, metric) with Class 2A/2B, 3A/3B, and 6g/6H fits. Socket head cap screws are heat-treated to achieve surface and core hardness suitable for high-tensile and shear applications while preserving ductility under dynamic loading.

Surface treatments include black oxide, passivation, phosphate, zinc, nickel, and PTFE coatings. All coatings are applied per AMS, ASTM, or MIL spec depending on end use. We also offer thread locking applications, vented holes for vacuum systems, drilled heads for wire locking, and custom under-head geometries for unique bearing surfaces.

Cap screws from Set Screw Mfg. are deployed globally in mission-critical systems—from aerospace structures and robotic joints to medical enclosures and die fixtures. We support production volumes from 100 to 1 million+ units with full PPAP documentation, FAI reports, and material traceability.
